Texas A&M in Costa Rica

The Texas A&M Aggies Soccer Team took Spring Break to a whole new level with a trip to Costa Rica. As well as facing two top level teams from the Costa Rican league, the team had an amazing opportunity to bond over zip-lining, white water rafting and plenty of time on the beach.

Speaking before the trip head coach G Guerrieri said:

“Soccer aside, the opportunity for our student-athletes to go abroad to live in and experience a foreign culture is one of the special things Texas A&M stresses for all of its students. We have played very well in our first two exhibition games of 2017 at Ellis Field, so getting two more international matches versus the two best teams in Costa Rica will be a terrific test for this young, talented squad.”

In their first game vs Deportivo Saprissa, the Aggies came away with a convincing 6-0 victory. Their next match saw them face Moravia, the Aggies again dominated the game and earned a 3-0 victory. Back on home soil the Aggies has no problem continuing their Spring Season success with an impressive 4-0 win over TCU.
